Rapid drug screen test for Cocaine (COC)

Intended use

The Rapid Cocaine Test is a rapid and qualitative test for the detection of Benzoylecgonine (COC) metabolites in urine. The test provides a fast (5 minutes) confirmation of the presence of COC in the subject sample at a minimum cutoff sensitivity level of 300ng/ml THC.

What is Cocaine ?

Derived from leaves of coca plant, cocaine (COC) is a potent central nervous sys-tem stimulant and a local anesthetic. Among the psychological effects in¬duced by using cocaine are euphoria, confidence and a sense of increased energy, accompanied by increased heart rate, dilation of the pupils, fever, tremors and sweating.

How long after use can drug tests detect cocaine presence or use ?

Drug of abuse testing by blood, urine, saliva or any other method (except forensic hair analysis) is designed only to detect whether or not a specific drug or drug metabolite is present at the time the test is performed. While there are very broad estimates as to how long a particular drug may have been in the system, no drug test, regardless of method, is intended to include a time variable. Many factors unique to the individual being tested determine the actual half-life of the particular drug including such variables as age, weight, body fat index, sex, metabolic rate, overall health and amount of drug consumed over what period of time.

For cocaine the minimum detection time is usually 1 hour and the maximum detection time is 5 days.
